Pat Wiseman
The origin story of Phoenix Glass Services begins decades ago. I was born in La Porte County and spent most of my youth here. My family relocated for a few years and when we returned, the house we rented had broken windows. The glazier who fixed the windows struck up a conversation with me, an inquisitive 16 year old young man. Once he finished the repairs, he told me that if I was looking for a job to stop in the office and fill out an application and said that he’d put in a good word for me. I was hired immediately and spent the next several years learning a trade that would become a career of over 30 years.
After 4 years or so with that company, I was seeking other opportunities when a contractor I worked with introduced me to another glazing contractor that was a much better fit for me. I spent the next 28 years working for them as a residential installer, shop manager, journeyman glazier, and, ultimately, the foreman of the shop.
After so many years and several changes in the company, I felt the need to explore other opportunities. I received an offer that would provide new experiences and hone skills in a manufacturing environment, so after deliberate consideration, I accepted the offer. I spent 4 years as a senior project manager in the field of electrical distribution and sheet metal fabrication, but it seemed apparent that my true calling was in glazing. I had several former contractors, co-workers and customers contacting me for their glass needs so I decided to go back to my roots and start my own business — Phoenix Glass Services was born!
I look forward to serving my community and the region with quality workmanship, quality products and good old fashioned customer service.
